Play Time

Saturday found the kids playing outside, even though it was a little chilly. Bart went out to trace the kids while they were playing with the chalk.
Cole is totally into monster trucks right now. Bart helped Cole make a monster truck race track, with plenty of jumps.
Both kids love play dough, but when the kids played with it the other day, Sadie stayed for about 20 minutes longer than Cole.
Jayda is doing great! Her new word is "Uh-Oh!" Props to Daddy for teaching her that word.

I've been blessed with some really great friends out here. A small group of us headed for a crazy trip to Micheal's with our 9 kids to pick out some beads, with the intention of making some earrings and chatting. Here are the pairs of earrings that I made...with plenty of help from my multi-talented friends!

Our friends, Kimi and Charlie, recently moved further from us. We sure miss them! They came over with their cute Macie to have some lunch. Jayda was totally jealous when Bart was holding Macie. It was pretty funny. Cutie girls!

Catching Up

We are now among the land of the living again...sort of. The germs took residence here last Wednesday and still haven't packed their bags to move on. Nothing like nebulizing all 3 kids! Poor Bart had to head into work today still sick. Today I broke out of survival mode to do some necessary cleaning and sanitizing. We will be very grateful to return to full health.

Bart and I did get to go out Friday night for an early Valentine's date, even though Bart was feeling poorly. Thanks to our friend, Stacy, for watching the kids. We had a gift card to Fleming's, a yummy steakhouse. That steak had to be one of THE best I have EVER had. Of course, I needed chocolate and got to enjoy a warm lava cake. DIVINE! It was fun to spend that time with Bart. He is my sweetie and also spoiled me with some red roses. Love you!

Saturday, the kids and I managed to make some sugar cookies...probably won't be posting those pictures. The kids were sick and miserable, hence some not great photos. :)

Day to Day Life

Cole and Sadie love to dress up. My good friend, Michelle, picked up some costumes for us. Cole couldn't wait to get into the cowboy costume. He spend a good part of the day saying "ye-haw!" and telling me he was a "rootin' tootin' cowboy". It was pretty cute. Sadie always has on some kind of dress up stuff. This was her outfit when she walked into the kitchen when I was cooking dinner.
