Best Friends

This picture speaks volumes about the relationship of these two. They have become such buds while Cole has been in school this year. It is so fun to watch them playing together. My camera just happened to be upstairs last night so I could take this picture of them snuggling and watching TV on my bed. My two sweet girls!

Surprising Cole!

Today, my friend Mariel and I, surprised Cole at school. My fabulous friend, Mariel, made Cole's birthday cake. A monster truck cake! Cole was completely surprised and happy! He was thrilled to share that special time with his teachers and class. They sang Happy Birthday to him (his birthday is Sunday) and everyone enjoyed a slice of yumminess! (Cole is having a hard time smiling...feeling a bit self-conscience missing both front teeth).

Sadie and Jayda's Finished Room

Well, the two rooms are finally finished. Bart was a true champ, having to paint both the ceilings and walls in each room. The rooms both turned out darling! Jayda will be sleeping in the bottom bunk tonight for the first time. We'll see how she does in a big girl's bed! If you can't tell, the walls are lavender. We ended up finding some darling wall decorations that matched the flowers on the curtains. Sadie has princess sheets and Jayda has Dora. They are both thrilled!

Another Lost Tooth

Cole pulled his other front tooth tonight. It had been pretty snaggled for a couple days and needed to come out. He's excited because he's lost more teeth (4) than anyone in his kindergarten class. :)

Cole's New Room

We changed the guest room into Cole's room, where guests will sleep when they come. :) Next week, we'll be moving Jayda and Sadie in together. We'll post some pictures of that change too.

Sadie's 4th Birthday-Princess Party!

Sadie had a great birthday! It has been so fun to watch her grow up! She chose to have some of her friends and their moms come for a princess party. My friend, Mariel, made an absolutely gorgeous castle cake and Sadie LOVED it! All of Sadie's great presents were trumped by her new bike. Since it's been yucky outside, we've kept it in the house and she rides it for hours each day. We love our sweet Sadie Jo!

Firehouse Visit

Today we went on a preschool trip to the Firehouse. It was super fun! The kids really loved it! Jayda especially loved running back and forth through a puddle of grease. :) Sadie's favorite part was when the fireman slid down the pole. Sadie and Jayda both loved "driving" the fire truck!

Totally Sick Air!!

Anyone who knows Cole at all, knows how much he is into monster trucks. Bart and Cole went to the Monster Truck Show in Baltimore Saturday. Cole got tickets in his stocking at Christmas and has been looking forward to it ever since! Bart said Cole was SOO excited to be there... especially to see his favorite, Grave Digger, win the competition.
Sunday, we had a friend of ours over. Cole was telling her about how awesome the show was. He said "And the monster trucks got some totally sick air!" We started laughing. I hadn't ever heard him talk like that before. Then he continued... "You know... the trucks jumped so high in the air that the drivers got sick." Gottcha.
