Strawberry Picking!

We had a great time at the farm yesterday. We got out there later than usual, so it was hot... but totally worth it... strawberry jam, rhubarb/strawberry pie and smoothies await!

Happy 1st Birthday, Kelsey!

We started out the special day by going strawberry picking (photos to come) which Kelsey thoroughly enjoyed. Kelsey loved having Dad home all day and loved playing with all the kids. They sang Happy Birthday to her many times and she giggled every time. Kelsey enjoyed ripping the paper off each gift and seemed to love everything she got! After a couple bites of the cupcake, the rest was happily thrown on the floor. I think it was a bit to rich for her.
Kelsey is sprouting new teeth, loves to say "bye bye", "night night", "Hi, Dad" and loves to giggle. She is getting more steady on her feet, but has far to go before walking occurs. She can crawl super fast though! We are super grateful to have her in our home! We love you, Kelsey!

It Is Your Birthday, Shout Hooray!!!

I can hardly believe that Kelsey is 1!! She is such a sweetie and is such a delight in our home! We had a fabulous, which will be another post... but wanted to post these pictures with her bear that we've been doing monthly. We love our darling girl!

Last week Kelsey discovered the little collection of baby dolls that we have. She LOVES to hug them, give them kisses and just be surrounded by them. It is SO cute. It is fun to watch this naturally happen...

Jayda has been looking forward to taking gymnastics forever. Now that she's 3, she gets the chance. This is right before she went. She was SO excited!

The kids were given a gift from some visiting friends and they loved making a variety of animal friends.

Kelsey has been enjoying taking the silverware out and throwing it on the floor for quite some time. Now, I have her trained to take it out and hand it to someone. Lots less picking up of silverware off the floor... What a helper.

Play Time

Saturday was a gorgeous day. The older kids and Bart rode their bikes while Jayda, Kelsey and I followed walking/riding in the jogger. It was a lot of fun. We love this weather before the humidity and mosquitos come to haunt us. We stopped at a park to play. Cole and Sadie mastered these turning wheels (they are like monkey bars but are wheels that spin in circles) that are there, although Cole was mad that Sadie could do it before him. :)
