My Sweetie Bug!

Kelsey and I stayed home while Bart and the three older kids went trick or treating. Kelsey is at such a fun age right now! I laugh so much being with her. Tonight, she was playing in Bart's suitcase (he just got back from a trip and it was still out). She was laughing so hard playing peek-a-boo with me. I love this kid!

Bart returned home from a trip just in time to whip out this pumpkin in 30 minutes before our ward party! Go, Bart!

Happy Birthday, My Sweetie!

Today is Bart's birthday. We knew he would be out of town for his special day, so we celebrated before he left. He chose banana splits as his dessert this year, so we stuck the candle in his ice cream. :)
Bart is an amazing husband and father. Bart is gone a lot with his job and church responsibilities, but when he is home he makes a huge effort to help around the house and with the kids. He does so many little things that make my life easier. Bart treats me so well and makes me incredibly happy! I'm SO grateful I took the chance on that blind date 10 years ago! My life has been wonderful ever since! I love you, Bart!

Pumpkin Time!

Bart was totally amazing and took all 4 kids to get pumpkins at the farm so Suzanne and I could have some girl time. They had a great time and came back with 4 HUGE pumpkins. Bart said "That's what you get for sending me to the farm by myself!" We've had lots of rain and I'm glad I sent the kids in their rain boots. They left the farm totally muddy, but very happy.

Thankfully, they aren't like this all the time!

Aunt Suzanne

We had two fun visits from family in October. My brother, Micah and his wife, Andrea came for a few days. I can't believe I didn't get even one picture with them here! We loved having them visit! Next, came my sister, Suzanne. She was only here for a couple of days and we loved every minute. While Suz was here, we went for a walk. Here are some pictures...

Fort Hunt Park

Since we were out of school for Columbus Day, we hooked up with some friends to explore Fort Hunt Park. It's a really pretty park with lots of open space. The former Spanish-American War fort was once part of George Washington's River Farm and was later transformed into a top secret World War II intelligence camp. It had lots of rocks and old bunkers to climb, although all the tunnels were locked up. The kids had a great time exploring!
