Jersey

Some friends of ours moved to New Jersey...they invited us to visit. This was especially daring for me because it was just the kids and I and I don't like driving very much. I can make it about 3 hours before falling asleep. Yes, even when I'm driving. So, I was a bit nervous... but, we made it there and back without any major problems! We had a fabulous visit. Our kiddos match up in age and had a great time together. We went to see the Statue of Liberty, which was awesome. I reminded the kids how lucky they were to see her....something I only dreamed about while growing up. They were impressed and especially loved the audio tour that they carried with them while we were inside the base and walking around the outside. Fun trip!

More Makenna

Makenna is great at standing up wherever she is. She also gets into everything. Somehow, she got wrapped up in a bag and was so confused as to why she couldn't move.

11 Months!

Makenna is such a joy! We love her SO much! She is very close to walking...has taken 8 steps on her own. Makenna's 7th tooth is about to come through, she loves to giggle and is a Daddy's girl for sure!

Month Long Trip-Utah

We ended our trip in Utah before flying back to DC. We packed in as much as possible. On the way to UT, we stopped to see our friends, the Springers. They recently moved to ID and we were SO happy to see them! Once we got to SLC, we hooked up with our sweet friend, Lorie. She recently moved to UT and we REALLY miss her! We had a gathering with Bart's roommates from college...way back when it was known as Ricks College. :) I think it's awesome how he has stayed close with all of them. Our dear friend (my former roommate) Stacy got married in the SLC Temple. She was married by her Dad and it was one of the sweetest ceremonies I've ever been to. The picture is of Stacy giving Cole a hug. The kids were very excited to see her and Alan come out of the Temple! I've attached a four generation picture with Bart's Grandpa, Dad, Bart and Cole. Pretty special. We hadn't seen Bart's grandparents for a few years and really enjoyed our visit with them. Bart's Dad drove down from MT and surprised us. The kids always love going to Temple Square... We loved seeing the Bradleys and their darling girlies. We are grateful to stay in touch with so many that have moved from Virginia! I must say, it was a super trip and we loved every minute of it! SO grateful that we were able to spend so much time with the people that we love!

Month Long Trip-Mountain Home/Boise

Wow! A super fun week! Swimming, movie, riding horses, trampoline, s'mores, basketball...just to name a few things that we did. A family favorite...July 24th celebration! We grew up doing it every year. Celebrating the pioneers...making "Brigham Young's Buttermilk Donuts, sewing buttons, shaking cream into butter, catching chickens, hammering nails into wood... you get the idea. This year we also got to ride horses at Aunt Suzanne's! Talk about a perfect day! We love our cousins!

Month Long Trip-Family Reunion

This post could have 100 pictures...we had such a GREAT time! 4-wheeling, lake, saw dust game, movie night, glow in the dark stuff, laughing, cousins, hiking, fun run, good food...the list goes on. I love the pictures of the kids with their "exact age" cousins. Yes, Jayda is one of 8 kids born that year. Awesome, right!? I love that they have so many kids to play with!
