Last Day of School!

The school year is finally done! We met some friends at McDonald's for breakfast, since a couple of them are moving next month. All the kids thought that was pretty awesome. Cole and Sadie have had the most wonderful teachers and had such a great year! Now, on to summer! All the kiddos having breakfast Cole and Ms. J Sadie and Ms. W

Sweetness

I walked into the living room the other day and saw these two like this....watching a movie on the iPad. SO sweet! I had to take a picture.

Toothless Annie

Once again, one of our children pulled out a tooth at church. This time, though, I had left to take Kelsey to the bathroom and Bart was on the stand. So, this sweet lady that was sitting by us with her little family, took Sadie into the bathroom to rinse her mouth and wrap her tooth in a paper towel. Sadie is excited to have this tooth gone because it was just hanging by a thread! So, now, both of her two front teeth are gone!

Big Girl Kelsey!!

Sunday night was Kelsey's first night in her "big girl bed." She did great....didn't get out once (and she LOVES her Dora bedding)! This step was in preparation for potty training, which I started Monday morning. Potty training is one of my least favorite things to do as a Mom. But, this was our window of opportunity, time wise, and I wanted to take it...especially before the other kids get out of school tomorrow. I prayed really hard to have it go smoothly. Physically, I'm still not up to par and I was hoping it would go well. Drum roll....Kelsey has been dry the past two days and she pooped in the potty tonight! She has been dry during her last two naps and was dry this morning when she woke up! Ye-haw! The hard work and preparation (and help from above) paid off! I'm SO grateful! I'm not nieve enough to think that there won't be occasional accidents, but for the most part, we are done and Kelsey is a champ!

Father's Day!

We had a wonderful Father's Day! I'm extra grateful this year because I had my Dad and Mom here, as well as my awesome husband. This year, especially, I'm so grateful for Bart. The past 5 or so months have been extremely difficult. I don't think every guy would've handled it as well as Bart. So much fell on his shoulders and he did it all and did it perfectly. I'm super blessed to be by his side. Love ya, Babe!

Fun in the Sun!

This past week, we had (what we hope) will be one of many afternoons enjoying the pools. We had early release, as did some friends, so we got together to enjoy the weather. Fun times had by all! Cole chillin' Jayda and Kelsey Sadie Kelsey Most of the kiddos Friends Forever!

Lost Tooth

Sadie's two front teeth have been loose for a couple weeks. She's been working on them, one more than the other. The other day she came up to me and said "Mom, I was wiggling and twisting my tooth and now I can't twist it back." I looked and her and tried not to freak out. My stomach lurched, that is for sure. I'm not so good at this kind of thing. I said "Don't touch it and Dad can pull it out when he gets home." So, Bart pulled it out and the tooth fairy came to visit. Another one down....how many more to go?!

Camping

Last weekend was the ward campout. The camping part got canceled because of major storms, so Bart set the tent up in the basement. The kids loved it. The next morning, they drove up to Maryland to meet the ward for hiking, breakfast and games. They had a great time! We love our ward and the friends that we have here.
