Florida, Baby!!-Magic Kingdom

For the next two days, we stayed in Magic Kingdom. Wow! I feel like we barely scratched the surface of all you could there. The incredible family we stayed with, sent a couple of their teenage daughters (whom the kids absolutely loved) with us to help with the kids and, let's face it, to ride on the rides with the kids when Bart and I were sick (literally) of riding the rides. I took one look at the tea cups and said no way! :) The first day, we had bought passes for the Not So Scary Halloween Night, which they do twice a week, starting in September, until Halloween. At 7pm, they kick everyone out of the park that didn't buy the special passes and you have the park to yourselves. Lots of trick or treating and very short lines for the rides. It rained off and on that day, but the park didn't close. The kids had a ball, walking around in their costumes trick and treating. On the second day, we did a character dinner with Winnie the Pooh and Friends. At first, Makenna was super freaked out but by the end, she was holding on to the characters leg as they were trying to walk away. Too cute! :)

Florida, Baby!!-The Beach

After landing in Florida, we hit the ground running..heading straight to Cocoa Beach. Hello, warm water! It was SO amazing! The kids loved it....super fun to watch them try to body surf. Everyone got in the water and enjoyed it...even when it started raining.

Florida, Baby!!!

So, after years of talking and planning, we decided to head to Disney World in Florida last week. It was an amazing trip! We didn't tell the kids until the night before we left. :) We had them put a puzzle together that had all the Disney characters, then sent them on a treasure hunt...ending with an envelope in the lap of Minnie, Buzz Light Year and Woody. The letter said to pack their bags, we were heading to Florida in the morning! At first there was silence...then realization hit and the screaming began. Everyone was super excited! We had a fabulous trip! There are SO many pictures, so I'll just post a little at a time....

Happy 2nd Birthday, Makenna!!

We LOVE this little girl! She adds so much joy to our home! She is becoming quite the talker. Makenna is very independent and loves to do whatever the older kids are doing. I hope she is as excited about potty training! :)

Deep Creek, MD

It has taken forever to get this posted! We went to Deep Creek with some friends of ours the week before school started. It was awesome! We had the best time! We kept busy hiking, kayaking, fishing, tubing, making s'mores, golfing, zip lining, the kids did a rope course, riding mountain coaster, swimming, riding go-carts, laser tag, and just playing... you get the idea. Great company, great activities, great food and treats, great cabin.... Super fun week!

First Day of School

Well, we had a good first day of school! Jayda got the same teacher that Sadie had for first grade and we just love her! Cole and Sadie each got new (to our school) teachers, but they both seem nice. The school has a new addition, which they will continue to finish but, it's looking really great! I think we are in for a good year! Cole (5th), Sadie (3rd), Jayda (1st), Kelsey (is doing joy school again) and Makenna (wanted to be in all pictures, but was moving so quickly, she was blurry in all the pictures she was in!)

National Zoo

Some friends invited us to the zoo to celebrate a birthday.... we are so glad we were able to go! We hadn't been for quite awhile. We had such a great time!

V.I.P. (Very Important Person) Weeks!

We had a lot of fun things to do during each of the V.I.P. weeks! It is definitely something the kids look forward to each summer!
