Potty Training=Exhaustion

I started potty training Jayda on Monday. Wow. I think it's one of the hardest things that I have to do as a parent! It's exhausting...mentally and physically. I don't know how we time it so that I'm between 7-9 months pregnant every time I've had to do it! :) Monday and Tuesday were awful... good thing for awesome sisters that listened to me cry and who had fabulous advice and cheerleading skills!! Also, I'm grateful for a good book that helps get the job done in a day or two. After 2 hard days, something clicked with Jayda Tuesday night and we haven't had an accident since! We have stayed at home the whole week so we could solidify her skills and it has totally been worth it! Go Big Girl Jayda!!! I'm so proud of her!

Jayda's Second Birthday!!

We have been incredibly blessed with super good kids. I'm so grateful to be their Mom!! (Jayda got this nightgown for her birthday, as did Sadie for her birthday, so Sadie wanted a picture of the kids in their pj's!)

Easter

I'm a little slow on posting about Easter. We had a nice Easter this year... keeping things simple and enjoying Conference. Everyone enjoyed dying eggs and finding their baskets. They each especially liked their bubble wands.

Cole's Birthday

I'm a little slow at posting Cole's Birthday. He got some great presents. Our friends, Brad and Vanessa, sent lots of monster trucks, which Cole totally loved. Jayda and Sadie gave him a huge Grave Digger, which is his favorite monster truck. Besides all the trucks, I think Cole's favorite gift was Legos!! He's wanted them for awhile and Bart found several fun kits online that Cole has loved building with! We love Cole and are SO grateful that he's part of our family!

Best Friends

This picture speaks volumes about the relationship of these two. They have become such buds while Cole has been in school this year. It is so fun to watch them playing together. My camera just happened to be upstairs last night so I could take this picture of them snuggling and watching TV on my bed. My two sweet girls!

Surprising Cole!

Today, my friend Mariel and I, surprised Cole at school. My fabulous friend, Mariel, made Cole's birthday cake. A monster truck cake! Cole was completely surprised and happy! He was thrilled to share that special time with his teachers and class. They sang Happy Birthday to him (his birthday is Sunday) and everyone enjoyed a slice of yumminess! (Cole is having a hard time smiling...feeling a bit self-conscience missing both front teeth).

Sadie and Jayda's Finished Room

Well, the two rooms are finally finished. Bart was a true champ, having to paint both the ceilings and walls in each room. The rooms both turned out darling! Jayda will be sleeping in the bottom bunk tonight for the first time. We'll see how she does in a big girl's bed! If you can't tell, the walls are lavender. We ended up finding some darling wall decorations that matched the flowers on the curtains. Sadie has princess sheets and Jayda has Dora. They are both thrilled!
