The kids and some friends playing in the woods.
My brother, Josh, came to visit... we loved having him here!
Makenna in the saucer for the first time...she lasted about 5 minutes.
Makenna watching Jayda play a game.
I can't believe how time is flying! Makenna did pretty well for this photo shoot. She isn't feeling well at all today, so by the end, she was pretty sad (or mad that I kept taking pictures).... but, still cute! Makenna has found her piggies and loves playing with them, she soaks anyone who gives her a bath because she splashes so hard with her arms and legs, she loves sitting in her bouncy chair by the fish tank and she has become a slobber monster! SOOO much slobber!
This post is overdue, since the snow happened awhile ago....but, better late than never! The kids had a super time playing and Bart (always the good Dad) pulled them all over in the sled, which they loved! Kelsey was fine for about 5 minutes until she face-planted in the snow and came in crying.
Again, time has flown! Makenna rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time yesterday. She loves playing with toys, but occasionally the toys or blankets fight back...hence the pictures of these items on her face. Makenna can't pull them off, so there they sit until someone takes them off. She thinks it's funny for awhile, but then starts to cry. She is super happy, as long as she gets her naps and food. Makenna has started experimenting with her voice to see how many sounds she can make.
Over the weekend, we had a fingernail painting session at our house (girls only). I have a feeling we will be having lots of those over the years. :) Anyway, we decided to paint Makenna's piggies. How darling are these?! Hehe
After finishing our kitchen over a year ago, we started saving for our next project. After some discussion, we decided to work on the outside of our house. I have had my eye on a particular house that I've loved driving past for 5 years and we decided to use that as our model. We decided, mid-project, to add a little porch, which I love. The deck was just finished on Friday. It still needs to be stained in the Spring, but we will enjoy it before then! The house turned out even better than I had hoped (besides our yard being a mud pit now)! I love it!
Bart and I met on a blind date, married in the Idaho Falls Temple and have been blessed with five amazing children. We are currently living back East and really enjoying our time here!
