Champion!!

Well, we just participated in our last Pinewood Derby. After the disaster last year (Cole didn't win one race), Bart decided to get serious. :) We were hoping for at least one win! Lots of research later, Bart and Cole built a winner! Cole won all his races...winning overall. Many more smiles than last year! Great job, Bart and Cole!

Winter Break

We had a fabulous winter break! We enjoyed having Bart here for 2 weeks. Amazing! We kept busy (Temple lights, botanical gardens, trampoline playland, bowling, ice skating, parks, museums, building gingerbread houses), but also had some downtime to just enjoying being together as a family. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Gymnastics, etc.

Kelsey and Jayda wrapped up a session of gymnastics. Both had a fabulous time. The instructors were fabulous. Makenna....she is so sweet and funny. I just wanted to include a couple pictures of her cuteness.

Publishing Party!

In third grade, the big thing they do is to research, write a book, illustrate it and they end with a publishing party. Walking the red carpet, reading their book (Sadie did hers on the red-eyed tree frog) and then having a party...complete with sparkling cider in plastic, fluted glasses. So cute and such fun! We love Sadie's teacher! She is amazing! It's been such a great year so far!

New Kid Pictures

As you can see down the side of our blog, there are some new pictures of the kids. Bart took them. He did a great job!

December!!! It's Beginning to Look alot like Christmas!

I have to say.. this is my favorite time of year. I love the crisp air, the smells, decorating, etc. We made our first batch of pipineer and hot some yummy hot cocoa to start off the season right! We went to a lot this year to get our tree...just like last year. They had some beautiful options and I love the tree that we picked out. The kids got really excited putting the ornaments on as they talked about each one and the memory associated with it. Have a Happy December!
