Visit from Grandpa and Grandma Randall

Mom and Dad were able to come and stay on and off over a couple days as they attended meetings in D.C. and made their way to North Carolina. We LOVE having them come and the kids especially enjoying spending time with Grandma and Grandpa. Dad is so good to go out and play with them. He took Cole and Sadie for a couple of walks and they found lots of treasures.

Sadie Jo

I was looking for Sadie one night and found her settled on Cole's bed reading books. It was very cute and I love that my kids enjoy reading!

HATS!

Cole and Sadie have been wearing all kinds of things on their heads lately, changing almost anything into a hat. It's been fun watching their imaginations at work and to see them having so much fun together.

Air and Space Museum

We went on a field trip last week to the Air and Space Museum. Cole LOVED seeing all the planes. The pictures didn't turn out to great....bad lighting, but I thought I would post a couple anyway. In the first pictures, it shows planes hanging from the ceiling.

Valentine's Day

The kids helped me make some heart cookies today. It was messy, but it was worth it. We had a lot of fun. I think their favorite part was eating the final product. It sure made me appreciate all the hard work Mom put in each Valentine holiday to make large batches of these sugar cookies for us to take to school! She's a champ!

Ice Storm

We have experienced our first ice storm the last 15 hours or so. I haven't seen anything like it since my mission in Iowa. Everything is covered in ice...the cars, the trees, the streets, the grass. When Bart was scraping off the car for us to take him to the metro, he got to the front windshield and the ice came off in one huge sheet. There have been so many accidents. I thought I would attach some pictures so you could get an idea of what things look like here.

Ready for Church

I couldn't help taking a picture of Cole. He looked so handsome in his new tie. I can't believe how grown up he is getting! He loves Sunbeams! Of course, I needed Daddy and Sadie to jump in for a picture. What a cute family we have!

The Awakening Statue

Today we went with a group of moms and kids to see The Awakening Statue. It is a guy coming out of the ground. Pretty huge and pretty cool! Cole thought it was awesome. The kids did a lot of climbing around on the different body parts, plus it was right by the river so they also fed the ducks. It was so much fun! I'll also post more of these pictures on our family picture website.

New Cars!

We made an excellent purchase at the second hand store and bought these cars for the kids. Needless to say, they have wanted to be in them every possible second. It is pretty fun to watch them cruise around.
