Introducing...

Kelsey Jane! Kelsey weighed in at 6 lbs. 15 oz., 19 inches long. She has dark brown hair, blue eyes and a double chin. She is gorgeous!

We had a couple other names that we had decided on, but once we saw the baby, she didn't match either name. So, Kelsey it is, with Jane as her middle (Jane is a family name on both sides)

We checked into the hospital at noon and Kelsey was born at 1:54pm. Because things were progressing so quickly, the Dr. gave me a spinal and an epideral... I loved both of them. :) Definitely the best delivery that I've participated in!! We are grateful that Kelsey is here safe and sound!

Pine Wood Derby

The Elder's Quorum had a pine wood derby last week. The men were in charge of making their own cars... there was a potluck dinner for the whole family.... It was a lot of fun! Bart and Cole made the car together... Bart wanted to keep it pretty simple and Cole wanted an 8 painted on it so he could call it "Ocho." They ended up getting first place. Cole couldn't have been happier!

While we were working outside, the kids happened upon this fast moving caterpillar. Cole and Jayda were quick to hold it and let it crawl all over them.... you'll notice that Sadie isn't pictured... there was no way that she was going to touch it!

We went to Costco and purchased some strawberries. Later, we got them out for a snack... and found this GINORMOUS strawberry. Jayda thought it was pretty amazing.

Last week we got to go to Cole's school to see his class perform the words, songs, poems, etc. that they have learned in Spanish this year. It was so cute! The kids did a fabulous job.

Potty Training=Exhaustion

I started potty training Jayda on Monday. Wow. I think it's one of the hardest things that I have to do as a parent! It's exhausting...mentally and physically. I don't know how we time it so that I'm between 7-9 months pregnant every time I've had to do it! :) Monday and Tuesday were awful... good thing for awesome sisters that listened to me cry and who had fabulous advice and cheerleading skills!! Also, I'm grateful for a good book that helps get the job done in a day or two. After 2 hard days, something clicked with Jayda Tuesday night and we haven't had an accident since! We have stayed at home the whole week so we could solidify her skills and it has totally been worth it! Go Big Girl Jayda!!! I'm so proud of her!
