Pretty in Plaid

Today was the first day that felt like maybe fall was thinking of coming... The girls chose to wear their new dresses that they picked out. I thought they looked pretty cute, so here's a picture!

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

Growing up, there were a few times of year that we got to party with just the girls... when the boys were gone on the Father/Son Camp Out and when they went to the Priesthood Session for Conference. It was always fun to just have the girls around. We would watch movies, get special treats, play games, paint our toenails and fingernails, have a special dinner, stay up late, go shopping, etc. The Father/Son Camp Out was this weekend, so my girls and I decided to take advantage of that. We invited some friends to join in on our activities since the "boy in their family" was gone on business. We got McDonald's for dinner, then got dressed in p.j.'s to eat jelly bellies while watching a movie. Could life get any better? We rounded out the festivities the next morning by making cookies and painting our nails!

Cuteness

We are enjoying slightly cooler weather.... finally! Cole is loving school, Kelsey is smiling and talking, Sadie is enjoying being the oldest at home during the day and Jayda loves taking care of Kelsey. We sure love our kids!

Sisters!

I just love these girls. This picture is catching Sadie wearing one of her random outfits that she runs around the house in. Dressing up is a favorite pastime for them, and I can't wait for Kelsey to get old enough to join in the fun!

She Found Them!

So, Kelsey is our only child who hasn't taken a bink. A bit frustrating, even if she isn't a fussy child. Anyway, she does love to suck on her fingers and hands, especially after nursing, and I've been impressed that she hadn't found her thumbs....until today. She found them. And once she did, she didn't want to stop. So cute... and since thumb sucking has pretty much been outlawed in this house, I had to take some pictures. :)

First Day of 1st Grade

I couldn't help but get a little teary eyed this morning taking this picture. The tears this year weren't in sadness for seeing him leave, but more the unbelieving feeling that he is old enough for 1st grade. Sometimes I look at Cole and can remember like yesterday when he was a baby. But, his excitement for heading back to school rubbed off on me and I sent him, smiling, on his way.

Last Summer Fling

This past long weekend, we had a great time together as a family. Since it was the last weekend before school started, we told Cole that he could choose several fun things to do as a family and we did ALL of them... eating at McDonald's, miniature golfing, swimming (the kids were especially excited to show Bart what they had learned in swimming lessons), he went to the driving range with Bart, went to the mall to play at their playland, had Chinese so he could use chopsticks, played outside, went shopping and played lots of Wii. Needless to say, by the end of Monday, we were tuckered out.

CA Girls

When Sadie was born in CA, our sweet friend, Sherlene, gave us this darling outfit. It is SO cute and reminds us of CA. Kelsey wore it today and we took a picture... then decided to find a picture of each of the girls in the same outfit and post them... the car seat picture is the only one I could find of Jayda. :)
