Pennsylvania Family Vacation

We had the best time on our trip last week. Bart took a couple of days off work and we drove to Pennsylvania. Our hotel had a pool and the kids loved swimming a couple of times. We visited Sesame Place aka Sesame Street Park. We had a blast! It's half water stuff, half amusement park rides and we had a ball. Both kids loved the water slides and especially loved meeting all the characters. Some were walking around the park and others we met at the dinner that we went to. Sadie was a little freaked out by the Sesame Street friends, but Cole was giving high 5's and wanting pictures with each of them. Jayda did great. She slept alot and was happy when she was awake.

The second day, we drove into Philadelphia. We didn't see many sites...all the kids were ready for breakdowns from being overtired, but we did see the Liberty Bell, which was really cool and we had some awesome Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches. YUMMY!

Planting

Our nice neighbor gave us some tomato plants. Bart and the kids planted them Saturday. We are hoping to get lots of yummy tomatoes! Cole and Sadie especially loved squishing their hands in the dirt.

2 Months

Jayda had her two month appointment this week. I'll admit, I'm a pansey when it comes to my kids getting shots. Since Jayda had to have 4 shots, I made Bart come with me to hold her while it was happening and I got to hold her after it was over. :) She is doing great, weighing in at almost 13 lbs. We enjoy her so much in our home!

Jayda's Blessing Day

We had a wonderful day yesterday. Jayda was blessed at church and she was surrounded by family and friends. Bart gave Jayda a beautiful blessing and she looked gorgeous in her dress. Bart's dad, Terry, flew out to be part of the festivities. The kids have had such a great time with him.

Smiley Jayda

We love our sweet, smiley baby girl!

Strawberry Picking

Last Friday, we went to Homestead Farms to pick strawberries. Along for the ride was Jana and her kids and Grandpa Stratton. The strawberries were huge and completely delicious. It was very hot and we were glad we went early in the morning.

Sadie did more eating than picking.

The kids loved the tractor....

National Zoo

We were able to go to the zoo with my friend, Jana, and her two kids. It was a lot of fun. Even after all we saw, I think the favorite part of the day for the children was at the end when we sat on a huge section of grass, ate lunch and the kids just ran around with each other and other kids that were there!

Sleeping Girl

Jayda keeps getting bigger and more fun. She is smiling quite a bit...it changes her whole face. She is such a cutie! She turned 6 weeks yesterday and gave me the best gift! She slept through the night..10pm-6am. She did it again last night! She's a champ and I'm loving it! I must give credit to the book "Baby Wise". It works wonders for getting our kids on schedules!

Air Show

Bart took Cole to the Air Show yesterday at Andrew's Air Force Base. What a great Dad! They saw the Blue Angels perform as well as other air shows. They had the best time! Cole especially loved seeing all the planes and helicopters and watching them fly. They were always right above their heads and both Bart and Cole jumped more than once as they flew so close. We lathered Cole with sun screen but missed Bart and he paid for it! He got fried! It only takes once at the beginning of the summer, right?!
